Hebrews 4:12-13

The warning of Hebrews 4 is actually an invitation.


God’s Word exposes us because He desires to heal us. The surgeon never cuts unnecessarily.

He cuts to remove what is killing us. The same Word that convicts also comforts. The same Word that reveals sin also reveals Christ. If we refuse the examination, we risk becoming like Israel—religious on the outside, yet hardened on the inside. But if we submit to the searching work of God’s Word, we enter the rest that God has promised.
