Repent, Teshuvah, Metanoia: Part 3

Sep 7, 2025    Apostle Dwight Smith

Repent means to turn and go in a new direction. Teshuva means a change in direction, lifestyle, and thinking. Metanoia means change the way you think. In this message, Apostle Smith shows how real transformation begins in the mind and flows to every part of life.

Starting from Romans 12:1–2, we learn to present our bodies as living sacrifices and refuse to conform to the world’s patterns. God changes us from the inside out as we renew our minds with His Word. When the mind changes, attitudes change, emotions stabilize, habits shift, and actions align with faith.

Key themes:

• The Word is the only standard for truth, not social media or trends, John 1:1,14

• You reap what you sow, so invest in a transformed mind, Galatians 6:7

• Meditate in the Word day and night to prosper and succeed, Psalm 1:2–3, Joshua 1:8

• God’s thoughts and ways are higher, so think what He thinks and say what He says, Isaiah 55:8-9

• God’s plans are peace and hope with a sure end, Jeremiah 29:11

• The Word builds holy strongholds that break destructive cycles, guard your heart, and protect the seed

• Repentance includes reconciling with people, returning to God, and resetting your thought life

• Apply the Word to every area: marriage, finances, health, business, and relationships

Practical takeaways:

1. Set a daily Word routine, morning and night. Read, mutter, and pray the Scripture you are applying today.

2. Replace problem thoughts with promise thoughts. Speak the Word that addresses your situation.

3. Change your environment and company. Walk with those who live how you intend to live.

4. Be quick to repent and reconcile. Close the door to cycles of resentment, fear, and unbelief.

5. Expect fruit. A renewed mind produces superior thoughts that create superior results.
